THE MOUND BUILDERS OF AMEXUM: Serpent (Effigy) Mounds

Sit back and imagine yourself on a journey around North Amexum. First stop, the Ohio Serpent Mound of North Amexum. Before there were pyramids, there was mounds. These mounds are located all over North America: Ohio Serpent Mound, Poverty Point Mounds of Louisiana, Cahokia Mounds of Illinois, Etowah Indian Mounds just to name a few.

The Ohio Serpent Mound is in a shape of a serpent and is a 1,348-foot long,three-foot-high effigy mound on a plateau of the Serpent Mound crater along Ohio Brush Creek in Adams County, Ohio. The most ancient of Ohio's forgotten mysteries, Adams County’s Serpent Mound was built by the indigenous people and was a spiritual and fertile place. (1)

Constellation of Draco:

The Serpent Mound may have been designed in accord with the pattern of stars composing the constellation Draco. The star pattern of the constellation Draco fits with fair precision to the Serpent Mound, with the ancient Pole Star, Thuban (α Draconis), at its geographical center within the first of seven coils from the head. (1)

It is a known fact that the Dogon Tribe of Africa could see Sirius A and B planet with their nake eye.

Alignment of the effigy to the Pole Star at that position also shows how true north may have been found. This was not known until 1987 because lodestone and modern compasses give incorrect readings at the site. (2)

The fact that the body of Serpent Mound follows the pattern of Draco may support various theses. Putnam's 1865 refurbishment of the earthwork could have been correctly accomplished in that a comparison of Romain's or Fletcher and Cameron's maps from the 1980s show how the margins of the Serpent align with great accuracy to a large portion of Draco.

Some researchers date the earthwork to around 5,000 years ago, based on the position of Draco, through the backward motion of precessionary circle of the ecliptic when Thuban was the Pole Star.

This same concept is true of the Giza pyramids in Kemet, Cairo, Egypt. The Orion correlation theory (or Giza–Orion correlation theory[1]) is a hypothesis in alternative Egyptology. Its central claim is that there is a correlation between the location of the three largest pyramids of the Giza pyramid complex and Orion's Belt of the constellation Orion, and that this correlation was intended as such by the builders of the pyramids. The stars of Orion were associated with Osiris, the god of rebirth and afterlife, by the ancient Egyptians.

There is a striking resemblance: three stars in the middle of the Orion constellation, diagonally but with one star deviating, and three pyramids, also with one deviating from the diagonal. And the relative positions of stars and pyramids match each other perfectly.

But the authors found even more similarities which cannot be explained by coincidence:

  • Star brightness and pyramid size: Giza consists of two almost equally tall pyramids and a smaller one which is only 53% of the height of the other two. The belt of Orion consists of two almost similarly bright stars, and one with only 50% of the brightness of the other two. The smallest pyramid is the one which deviates from the diagonal, as does the dimmest star!

  • Other pyramids: More pyramids in Egypt fit the picture of the sky: the two large pyramids at Dahshur are a match for the brightest two stars in the open cluster "Hyades", two more pyramids near Giza are bright stars of Orion, and the pyramids of Abusir are exactly where the head of Orion should be located.

LEY LINES:

Ley lines are said to be the veins of the earth and crisscross the entire planet. They are said to be created through cracks in thE etectonic plate , where the natural energy is released.

Ley lines are the strongest paths for earth energy to travel. They are typically depicted as straight lines connecting many sacred sites to each other. Frequently, large stone markers and monoliths are found on many of these paths. While doing a little research on the three main burial mounds in North America, I have found that they form a very nice equilateral triangle when connected by straight lines.

Many people believe that a grid of earth energies circles the globe,connecting important and sacred sites such as Stonehenge, the Egyptian Pyramids, and the Great Wall of China.

Many scared sites are built on these ley lines and ancient civilizations knew about the energy paths, with their most potent of monuments built upon them.

It is believed that even the composition and placement of these stones within the monuments, were designed to harness thisnatural power and energy of the earth.

Ancient monuments all around the world are connected with each other through the grid of ley lines. Stonehenge, Greek temples, Macchu Pichu, The Pyramid of Giza, The Sphinx and many others, were all built upon the energies of these lines.

EFFIGY MOUNDS​:

An Effigy Mounds is a raised pile of earth built in the shape of a stylized animal, symbol, religious figure, human, or other figure. Effigy mounds were primarily built during theLate Woodland Period (350-1300 CE). were constructed in many Native American cultures. Scholars believe they were primarily for religious purposes, although some also fulfilled a burial moundfunction. The builders of the effigy mounds are usually referred to as the Mound Builders. Native American societies in Wisconsin built more effigy mounds than did those in any other region of North America—between 15,000 and 20,000 mounds, at least 4,000 of which remain today.
